What Is Bhaagwat Geeta

The Bhagavad Gita is a revered Hindu scripture comprising a dialogue between Prince Arjuna and Lord Krishna. Set on the battlefield of Kurukshetra, it addresses Arjuna's moral dilemmas about duty and violence. Krishna's teachings cover life's purpose, the concept of duty (dharma), and paths to spiritual liberation. Its timeless wisdom advocates selfless action and detachment from outcomes.
The Gita covers a wide range of topics, including the nature of reality, the purpose of life, the concept of dharma (duty/righteousness), the paths to spiritual liberation, and the importance of selfless action (karma yoga). It presents different paths to spiritual realization, including the paths of devotion (bhakti yoga), knowledge (jnana yoga), and disciplined action.
One of the most famous verses of the Bhagavad Gita is found in Chapter 2, Verse 47, where Krishna advises Arjuna: "You have the right to perform your prescribed duties, but you are not entitled to the fruits of your actions. Never consider yourself to be the cause of the results of your activities, nor be attached to inaction."
